Olivia is finishing up her first week at her new school. She has 6 friends. She is happy. It feels like we have our little girl back. Yesterday driving home from school, she had her window rolled down, head stuck out, and was singing at the top of her lungs. Laughing. Joking.
I wanted to weep. This has been a long time coming.
When her good friends leave this summer, she will grieve. Possibly for a long time. But she has some new friends. They can't ever take the place of M, M and S. And who would want them to? Those girls are all precious to us, as well as their sweet families. But there is hope in her little heart now. She can see that God has provided, once again. Amen!

I'm curious as to why she had to change schools. Is she going to a bilingual school? I ask, because I sense some unhappiness in my oldest at her current school, even though she's perfectly fluent in French, I wonder if she wouldn't be happier around more bilingual kids.
