Last week we went to our friend Riadh's restaurant for lunch, and then spent the afternoon hanging out with him and another couple we met a few weeks ago. None of them speaks English (although Riadh is taking classes now!) so our French got a good workout! After we ate, we visited for a while, and then Michel and Martine brought out Moules Frites (mussels and fries) lunch. This is a very popular dish here, and Michel had spent the morning preparing it. Riadh closed his shop down and invited us to join them for their meal, so we stayed another 2 hours and ate again! It was so fun, and we feel so motivated to keep on improving our French so we can deepen the relationships we have with our French and North African friends!
I also wanted to share a fuzzy but great picture of all our kids at [iccp]! When we got here 18 months ago, our group was pretty tiny-mostly kids of staff members and a few regulars. Now we are bursting at the seams from our 2 little sunday school rooms, and it's quite exciting! We even have several babies in our congregation now, and I can't wait until we have a nursery!
