Well, it's official! I am 40! yowza. The day started off a little shaky, as I was very homesick and missing my family and friends terribly. Then we went to the beach, which was really nice. The weather was amazing, and it wasn't too crowded with tourists yet. We got a great kebab sandwich and fries, then headed home, with just enough time to freshen up. Then came the real fun. 80's party at Darrin and Julie's! It was such a blast-great music, a hot dog bar (my favorite food that I had been trying to have at my birthday for the last 3 years only to be vetoed and told hot dogs are not a "grown up" food) and dancing. It was a small group and very relaxing for me-very much what I needed to lift my spirits. It was a lovely evening filled with laughter. A happy birthday, indeed.

Well, you can change your "about me" now to "40 year old wife..." Doesn't sound quite the same does it? Ha! Now you get to check those boxes on surveys in the 40 range etc... Its not so bad once you get used to it. There should be some sort of perk turing 40... some kind of special menu or something! Congrats and sorry I could not attend your party, but I did have a margarita in your honor!
